Thursday, March 5, 2009 has been chosen as the date of the Canada South Land Trust's 5th AGM. The meeting will held at 7:30 p.m. in Room C of the Essex Civic Centre.
Mike Nelson, Essex Region Conservation Authority restoration biologist, has kindly accepted our invitation to be the evening's guest speaker. Mike will bring us up-to-date on various restoration projects around the County such as provision of fish habitat in County drains, construction of Detroit River sturgeon spawning sites, and tree planting restoration projects including those making use of the pit and mound forest restoration technique.
The evening will include recognition of the many volunteers who have contributed in numerous ways to the Land Trust over the years, including those who have assisted at Land Trust events, provided photographs to the Land Trust, assisted with the newsletter, and taken on the responsibilities of conservation agreement monitors.
Refreshments will be served.
